J. Crew x Nike Vintage Capsule Collection

J. Crew is no stranger to collaborative design. In fact, CEO Mickey Drexler’s strategic use of partnerships with the likes of Timex and Alden helped to re-launch the brand back onto the fashion scene a few years ago. The American menswear staple now reveals the results of their opportunity to work with Nike: the Vintage Collection. Choosing the Tennis Classic AC and the Cortez Vintage running shoe as their canvas, the design team in charge crafted the former in monochromatic suede with a subtle perforated swoosh and the latter in basic, easy-to-wear combinations of beige, navy and olive green. Both come in two colorways and are given the full Nike vintage treatment. More photos after the jump...

Fresh Kicks: Nike Roger Federer “Wimbledon” Lunar Vapor 8 Tour

Nike once again assembles an outfit worthy of the Wimbledon contestant and contesting champion Roger Federer. The Lunar Vapor 8 Tour is the latest touted footwear specifically designed for the grass courts of the competition. The white and forest green shoes are composed of upper Flywire technology and supported by a Lunarlon sole, perfectly equipped for competition and high performance.

Nike: Laura Hadar Film, Directed By Brad Kremer

Cinematographer Brad Kremer first approached Nike with the idea to showcase multiple athletes from different sports using tilt shift time lapse photography and composting. After some conceptual refinement, however, the film got narrowed down to focus only on Laura Hadar and snowboarding. The final result, following some dubious moments after Hadar got injured during filming, is a cool, quirky and upbeat daydream piece highlighting not only Laura, her shoes and the sport of snowboarding – but also rather the creative drive to push forward that Nike has become emblematic of over the years.
