J. Crew is no stranger to collaborative design. In fact, CEO Mickey Drexler’s strategic use of partnerships with the likes of Timex and Alden helped to re-launch the brand back onto the fashion scene a few years ago. The American menswear staple now reveals the results of their opportunity to work with Nike: the Vintage Collection. Choosing the Tennis Classic AC and the Cortez Vintage running shoe as their canvas, the design team in charge crafted the former in monochromatic suede with a subtle perforated swoosh and the latter in basic, easy-to-wear combinations of beige, navy and olive green.
