I gotta admit, I was a hater. The first album was sorta wack. The hype was there, but the output was lacking, and after Asleep In The Bread Aisle dropped, I made sure to let people know that this dude was weak. But years following that album release, Asher Roth took a turn for the better. In the past three years, he has given us new life and new reason to believe that what we heard wasn't his best effort. mixtape's like Seared Foie Gras, and the most recent Rawth EP, have shown us that Asher Roth can most definitely rap, and rap well. His lyrics and flow are smooth and recognizable to most of his fans. Not rapping about big booty bitches, or getting shot up in the club, his lyrics talk about real life issues and things a 20/30 something year old would be going through. And with that being said, I have flipped the script and are now one of his biggest fans. Late 2011 would be prime for his second CD release, and thanks to his love of the game, he left us with something to chew on until than.
